The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has issued an official press release stating the reason behind not paying the two categories of allowance to education sector workers scheduled for payment in November 2025.
It was stated that the delay was due to a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run.
“To avoid any further delay in the payment of November 2025 salaries for all Government of Ghana workers, the processing of these allowances was paused. We assure all affected workers that the issue is being resolved,” CAGD explained.
On when to credit the account of affected education sector workers, CAGD stated that “The outstanding allowances will be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on 18th December 2025.”
The Controller in the official release added that they regret the inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciate your patience.
