Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened the recruitment portal for all interested and qualified University graduates with Bachelor of Education degrees to apply in order to “join the vibrant educational community”.
The Job Purpose
Below is what the employer, GES expects the employees to offer when employed:
- Employees will facilitate Learning using 21st-century technology
- Employees will continuously improve learner’s ability to research using new technologies
- Employees will teach highly motivated learners, cater for learners with different learning abilities and help them achieve excellent academic results.
- Employees will attend relevant and continuous professional development sessions
- Employees will use a variety of assessment tools and tasks to accurately assess levels of learners’ competency
- Employees will take any other responsibility that would be assigned to you by your Head of Institution
GES Employment Requirements
GES has stated its defined requirements that all interested and qualified University graduates have to meet before heading toward the portal to apply /or submit their application.

Below are the well-defined requirements according to GES in their September 1, 2024 announcement calling for the submission of documents from University graduates with Bachelor of Education degrees for employment.
Interested and qualified applicants MUST:
- be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
- have a License from the National Teaching Council.
- have a National Service Certificate.
- be excellent in communication and have interpersonal skills.
- have the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
- be ready to work wherever your services would be needed.

The interested and qualified applicants are to upload the following documents onto the GES recruitment portal when the portal is finally opened for submission of applications.

ii. NSS Certificate
iii. NTC Licensure Number
