Good News: GH¢241 million released by government to pay teacher trainee allowances

The government of Ghana has released GH¢241m for the payment of teacher trainees’ allowances.

The good news was let out by the Ministry of Education (MoE) via Professor Yara Dzakadzie, Director of Tertiary Education at the 13th congregation of Koforidua Asokore SDA Training College.

Professor Yara Dzakadzie in his speech at the congregation on behalf of the Sector Minister disclosed that “The government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the smooth running of our colleges of education, and it is committed to providing our students with the best education. In light of this, the government has released an amount of GH¢241 million for the payment of teacher trainee allowances across the country.”

The speech also covered the GH¢32 Million that has been allocated for the payment of the book and research allowance to eligible Senior members of the public tertiary institutions in the country.

“It will interest the members of staff to know that the government has processed an amount of over GH¢32 million for the first batch of book and research allowance payable to senior members of tertiary institutions across the country,” Professor Yara Dzakadzie disclosed.
