GES Self-Posting portal

As part of improving the Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment process in order to be in line with the growing pace of technology, GES introduced a Self-Posting portal for 12,720 newly qualified teachers who have completed their degree programmes at colleges of education and passed their licensure exams.

According to the Director-General, Dr. Eric Nkansah, the new GES Self-Posting portal was introduced to address challenges faced by new teachers.

“The ‘self-posting’ recruitment module has the benefit of getting newly trained teachers to be posted to regions where language will not be a barrier. Thus, they can speak the local language (L1) to create a more effective teaching and learning environment. In addition, the teachers get the opportunity to select schools close to their families and enjoy the associated economic support.”
