SSNIT in their disclaimer said they are not associated with the shortcode *365*65# and clarifies how the two (2) entities involved functions.
The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) wishes to inform the public that:
- The WhatsApp message asking members to use the short code *365*65# to access their SSNIT statement is not from SSNIT.
- The short code *365*65# is from the Ghana Education Service Occupational Pension Scheme (GESOPS) for use by its clients.
- SSNIT and GESOPS are two separate entities with distinct functions. SSNIT is responsible for administering the First Tier Pension Scheme while GESOPS is a Second Tier Corporate Trustee.
- Members of the public are advised to ignore messages linking SSNIT to the short code *365*65#.
- For the avoidance of doubt, *711*9# is the official SSNIT shortcode.
