Emenefa has served as a mentor and a role model for many Maroonians and her former SHS, SOGASCO with her achievements in the journey of her education.

Madam Mordzifa Emenefa was part of the SRC executives. She was the SRC Vice President in the 2019/2020 academic year.

VALEDICTORY SPEECH BY EMENEFA MORDZIFA AT THE 14TH CONGREGATION OF THE 2022 GRADUATING CLASS OF JASIKAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

The Principal, The Chairperson of the college Governing Council, Respected Guests, The Students Affairs Officer, Heads of Departments and staff, Parents and Guardians, Fellow Graduands, Maroonians present, Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, and all protocols duly observed, it is a pleasure for me to stand before you to deliver the valedictory speech for the graduating class of 2022 being the pioneers of the B.Ed. Programme which was implemented in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Mr. Chairman, Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, today, we gather here to celebrate a significant milestone in our lives, the success chalked by the graduating class for the successful completion of our Bachelor of Education degree.

This moment is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our chosen path of becoming educators.

First and foremost, let me seize this opportunity to heartily welcome you all to the 14th Congregation of Jasikan College of Education; the college in which we live in it.

In fact, I am the happiest person on earth today as I never anticipated a day like this. A few years back, we walked into this noble institution with so much excitement and expectations and even though life on campus has been a hurly-burly one with the process being full of uncertainties, with determination, self-confidence, self-reliance purposefulness, knowledge, practical skills, and sense of direction among other virtues we made it by the help of the Almighty God who has predestined this day.

Our stay in college has been a wonderful experience both socially and academically. We have come a long way to reach this far even though there were times we thought of giving up but little did we know that a day like this will come when we will be churned out as first-degree holders of this prestigious institution. No one achieves success without the help of others.

In like manner, a river does not flow through the forest without breaking down trees. For that matter, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our hardworking and dedicated lectures.

Your expertise, guidance, mentorship, and words of encouragement have shaped us into the educators we aspire to be. You have not only imparted knowledge but also instilled in us the passion, enthusiasm, and unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives.

Your tireless efforts and commitment to our growth have truly been inspiring. We owe our success to you and from the abyss of our hearts, we say thank you.

To our families, friends, and loved ones, we salute you for the unwavering support we enjoyed throughout our training. You have in no small way contributed immeasurably to making us what we are today.

Your encouragement, understanding, and sacrifices have sustained us during the most challenging times. You have been our pillars of strength, always there to provide a listening ear, a comforting hug, or words of wisdom.

Today, we share this achievement with you, knowing that it is as much yours as it is ours. May God richly bless you and replenish whatever you lost in your bid to support us.

To my fellow B.Ed. graduands, Malcolm X said that education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it. It gladdens my heart to see all of us end this journey with another step. We have traveled this path together, supporting and uplifting one another every step of the way.

Our shared experiences. late-night study sessions and classroom debates have forged bonds that will last a lifetime. We have laughed together, cried together, and celebrated each other’s victories. As we step into the realm of teaching, let us remember the camaraderie we have built and continue to support and inspire one another as we embark on our individual teaching journeys.

It is an undeniable fact that our journey has been one that could be described as a herculean one. There were times we had to embrace financial constraints, sleepless nights, restless days, fatigue, serial quizzes, ailments, and the most devastating one which is the loss of loved ones as in my case where I had lost my mother on the way.

Today as we end this chapter and begin another chapter, the memories in the process popped up in our minds. Fellow graduands, do you remember the early morning classes, the midnight burning, the impromptu quizzes, the almighty field experience and its accompanied stresses, the comments from seniors such as Where is the soul or bring the soul, and many more.

We can also recollect the experiences from some courses and the fear they put into us. But with God on our side and determination, we are in all of them. Today, all these are memories worth holding on to and we can look back at those moments and smile because we did not give up but held on to a popular saying from Leonardo da Vinci that “Learning never exhaust the mind”.

As intellectuals who are going to turn the fortunes of many Ghanaian learners and the nation at large, we have been equipped with a unique set of skills and knowledge that will enable us to shape the minds and hearts of the next generation.

We have been entrusted with the responsibility of fostering curiosity, igniting passion, and unlocking the potential of our students. Let us approach this noble profession with a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of education.

In a world where challenges abound, we must be the beacons of hope, empowering our students to become critical thinkers, compassionate individuals, and active contributors to society. We must foster inclusive classrooms that embrace diversity, celebrate differences, and promote equity. Let us create learning environments that inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and nurture a love for lifelong learning.

As we embark on this noble profession, let us never forget the impact we can have on the lives of our students. Each child we teach is a precious individual, with dreams, aspirations, and the potential to change the world. Let us be their mentors, their advocates, and their guiding lights. Let us create safe spaces where they can grow. learn, and thrive.

In closing, let us remember the privilege and responsibility that comes with being educators. Let us embrace the challenges, celebrate the successes, and continue to grow as lifelong learners ourselves.

Our journey as educators has only just begun, and it is our passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment that will shape the future generation.

Congratulations, my dear fellow B.Ed. graduates. Today, we become the torchbearers of education, igniting minds and transforming lives. As we go into the world, let us be guided by this quote from Nelson Mandela who says that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Let us go forth with courage, compassion, and the belief that education has the power to create a better world. The roots of education are bitter but the fruits are sweet

Long Live Ghana!

Long Live Mother Jasico! Long Live OMA 2022

Thank you and once again, Congratulations to us all.
