The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) has released the approved list of teaching and learning materials for all pre-tertiary institutions.
NaCCA is the regulatory body mandated by the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023) to approve all teaching and learning materials for use in all pre-tertiary institutions in Ghana.
The released list of approved materials by NaCCA starts from Kindergarten (KG) to Basic Six (6).

They urged parents, teachers, heads of schools, and the general public to ensure their wards/children use the approved books for quality education.
Some of the areas NaCCA is mandated to control and decide on are as follows:
1. Textbooks.
2. Supplementary materials.
3. E-learning materials.
4. Non-text materials such as manipulatives, puzzles, games, etc.

However, they (NaCCA) disclosed that the list of approved teaching and learning materials they have listed are subjected to regular updates.
