2023 Revised academic calendar for KG/Primary & JHS -Check

Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the revised 2023 academic calendar 2023 Revised academic calendar for KG/Primary & JHS for perusal.

This new revised academic calendar will guide all the academic activities in the 2023 academic year as it stands now.

According to GES, the revised academic calendar, it has thirty-six (36) weeks of contact. Breaking the 36 weeks of contact down, the school will run seven (7) hours per day. It means six (6) hours for contact and an hour (1 hour) for the break.

1st TERM REOPENING DATE & VACATION

From Kindergarten (KG) to JHS 3, school will open on 10th January 2023 and end on 6th April 2023 for all of them.

VACATION DATE

Their vacation will last for ten (10) days starting from 7th April 2023 through to 17th April 2023.

2nd TERM REOPENING DATE & VACATION

REOPENING DATE

From Kindergarten (KG) to JHS 3, school will open on 18th April 2023 and end on 13th July 2023 for all of them.

VACATION DATE

Their vacation will last for ten (10) days starting from 14th July 2023 through to 24th July 2023.

3rd TERM REOPENING DATE & VACATION

REOPENING DATE

From Kindergarten (KG) to JHS 2, school will open on 25th July 2023 and end on 12th October 2023 for them.

The JHS 3 student will resume their 3rd Term on the same date (25th July 2023) but the MONTH OF SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2023 will be their BECE period.

VACATION DATE

Vacation for Kindergarten (KG) to JHS 2 students
will last for a period to be announced by GES soon.
