Professor Smile Gavua Dzisi, Deputy Director General of Ghana Education Service (GES), has stated that she’s unaware of the problems faced by newly posted teachers.
Despite this, she assured the aggrieved 2022 batch of Newly Posted Teachers (NPTs) that a technical committee will be formed to address their concerns.

The NPTs, posted to work in September 2024, are yet to receive their Staff IDs, a crucial step towards getting paid. As a result, many have gone unpaid for 10 months, forcing them to work with financial hardship.
Further, Prof. Dzisi has invited the NPTs to submit their concerns in writing, select five (5) representatives, and meet with her office to find an amicable solution.
To many affected victims of the 10 months of unpaid salaries, the Teacher Unions are quite on their outburst but will be quick to deduct their dues immediately after the salary hits their accounts. They expect the Teacher Unions to help address the issue in a notice or official release to show their support.
