The National Teaching Council (NTC) has disclosed the new modalities for the 2023 Licensure exams. They are back to the traditional medium.
At today’s (21st March 2023) held Induction training, the Council communicated the registration process and the total number of papers to be written.
They disclosed that the 46 accredited Colleges of Education in the country will provide them with a list of names of the total number of graduates from each of the Colleges.
After a successful data provision by the College of Education, each candidate will be permitted to log in to the official portal of NTC with their Index numbers and names for registration.
In a situation where your College did not submit your requested details due to some reasons, it means you have to contact them (your College) for clarifications.

According to the update at the Induction training, the Council said the papers to be are three (3).
They are:
- General paper (Essential skills, Literacy, & Numeracy).
- Elective area paper (Contents & methods/pedagogy in your elective area).
NB: The third paper is a split of the 2nd paper above.
It means; General paper and your Elective area but the elective area have two sub-divisions making it three (3) in all.

WRITING MODE FOR 2023 LICENSURE EXAMS
It was communicated earlier that the new reform will birth a Computerized-based mode for conducting the Licensure exams.
However, the latest update is that there will be no Computerized-based mode as communicated earlier due to logistics and other reasons in line with writing the Computerized-based exams. They will conduct this year’s exams via the traditional way of writing the licensure exam due to some challenges as it stands now.
They will go by the traditional Pen and Paper medium.
Keep checking for update on NTC licensure date. Kindly, share, comment, and like for more updates.
