The Volta River Authority (VRA) has announced its support for brilliant but needy students.
The release was signed by Mrs. Rhoda Arthur, the Principal Community Relations Officer Manager, Community Relations.
VRA has taken steps to assist students who have suffered the damage caused by the Akosombo Dam spillage in the affected communities.
The Community Development Programme (CDP) Scholarship Scheme of Volta River Authority is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility which it uses to provide financial support to brilliant but needy students within the Authority’s impacted communities.
This year, 2023 the Akosombo Dam spillage has caused great harm to homes, businesses, and properties hence, VRA has communicated to Traditional Councils and the National Association of Resettlement Communities to help them get names of students who have qualified and gained admission into Public Tertiary Institution as a regular non-fee paying student in the 2023/2024 academic year.
