The National Teaching Council (NTC) has finally announced the exact date for opening the 2023 NTC exams portal for registration.
Earlier in January this year, the Council publicized that the 2023 NTC exams will be written in April 2023 but the exact date for the said professional exercise has not been released.
DATE TO OPEN 2023 NTC LICENSURE PORTAL
The Council has announced recently that the online registration portal for the 2023 Licensure examination will be open in the due time for registration.
However, due to the Computerized-based focus announced for this year’s NTC exams, teachers are of high hope that there might be a change it how registration will be done.

DATE TO START 2023 LICENSURE EXAMS
The likely month to write the 2023 licensure exams is June/July 2023 but the exact date will be announced if NTC disclose it.

When the portal is open for registration, kindly use the official link of NTC below for registration.

HOW TO APPLY FOR NTC LICENSURE EXAM
Over the years, the steps below are followed by candidates to apply for NTC Licensure exams. Since the reform won’t effect this year, all candidates are likely to follow the same steps to apply.
- Kindly purchase a Voucher at any authorized/approved Bank by the Council (NTC).
- On the Voucher, you will see a PIN and Serial Number. Take note: That is your key for registration.
- Visit the official website of the Council via https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/ and continue.
- After the portal has been opened, kindly key in your Serial Number and PIN just as it appears on the Voucher.
- Make sure you enter all the needed requests in the fields there.
- Upload a passport-size picture. Be very careful when uploading your passport picture. NTC does not allow change of uploaded passport picture.
- Finally, go through all you have entered in the fields and SUBMIT the form for processing.
NB: Do not forget to print a copy of the summary.
REGISTRATION COST
The cost for registering the Licensure exams last year, 2022 was GH¢350.00 (Fresh candidates). However, there may be a change or not in the registration fee for Fresh candidates.

What are the subjects to be written under the new NTC Licensure Exams reforms?
The Council’s hope to bring to life their dream (Computerized-based test) has been interfered with by some challenges. Rolling out the 2023 NTC Licensure exams across the 46 Colleges of Education and the Universities in the country will not be Computerized-based.
Papers to be written under the new National Teacher’s Council when all is set/satisfied (both logistics and other reasons) will provide teachers with a comprehensive understanding of curriculum requirements and best practices for educational instruction. The constituents and focus areas for the three (3) papers are discussed extensively below.
The National Teachers Council offers posters, videos, courses, and other professional development materials that help teachers develop modern teaching practices, incorporate technology into instruction, explain complex topics in accessible language to various age groups, engage students in meaningful learning activities, access resources, and research data to improve student outcomes.
