From a concerned Ghanaian teacher, Nana Qwofi at Abroma D/A Junior High School located in the Ashanti Region
Though I am not a newly posted teacher, but their situation saddens me. These newly posted teachers were posted to their current stations in September, 2024 and up till now, some of them have not been paid their salaries and others are yet to get their Staff Id’s.
Their situation become very sad knowing very well that, some of their mates they graduated with,have been paid. They have been to many radio and TV stations but their demands have not been met. Letters have been served to the Teacher Unions but they are silent on these newly posted teacher’s predicament. Is it that, the Teacher Unions have not deducted their dues and the so called mutual funds for being the reason for their silence?? hmmm..

Some of the senior colleague teachers passed out some despicable comments like, “you guys are even lucky that some of your mates have been paid leaving you out, I worked for so and so months before I was paid”, really?? Because you had it tough, someone should pass through the same way?? smh.
GES have turned deaf ears to them and doesn’t seem to care about their grievances.
The notion that a group of government workers should work for several months before being paid should be discarded and not to be tolerated.
These crop of newly posted teachers have families and love ones to feed and this is what they get after graduating from school and posted to their stations.
Senior colleague teachers, I plead with you all to have a say in what they’re going through and I am optimistic that something good will pop up for them.
